I design products for a living. I also sail, sketch, and play piano.
Work life
Early-stage taught me to hold ideas loosely: ship, test, drop what doesn’t work, no ego attached. A lot of what I’ve built doesn’t exist in its original form anymore — the screenshots in my work are snapshots, not monuments. Along the way I’ve designed for biotech, fintech, mental health, social apps, and — once — a smart bird feeder trying to work out what to do with all the photos its cameras kept taking. For the last few years, mostly AI products, including two of my own.
I didn’t start in design — I came from communications: marketing, PR, even conducting a choir. It’s all the same job, really: taking what one person means and making someone else get it. Now I do it with interfaces, mostly as the founding designer at early-stage startups — turning a founder’s vision into something people actually use.

Sailing life
Somewhere between projects, i got my skipper’s license. The sea doesn’t care about your roadmap — it teaches you to read the conditions, make the call, and stay calm when the plan changes.
Art and music live
By my first education, i’m a choir conductor — i’ve been singing and playing all my life, and the piano comes with me through every move. I also draw, mostly in pastels — old buildings, sketchbook in my bag wherever i travel.
